Teesside LGV Training delivers ADR Training covering Initial and refresher courses, Core, Packages and Tankers for the following classes:

  • Class 2 – Gases
  • Class 3 – Flammable liquids
  • Class 4 – Flammable solids
  • Class 5 – Oxidizing substances and organic peroxides
  • Class 6 – Toxic substances
  • Class 8 – Corrosive substances
  • Class 9 – Miscellaneous dangerous substances

Teesside LGV Training is an approved ADR training centre, delivering courses governed by the SQA ‘Scottish Qualifications Authority’ to drivers or candidates requiring a qualification to carry Hazardous goods by road, in packages or tankers.

Your ADR examinations are multiple choices and successful completion of the exams a candidate will receive their Vocational Training Certification, this approval is sent direct to you. The full initial ADR course duration is 3 ½ days which covers Core, Packages and the above seven Classes. If you do not need the seven classes courses can be tailored to your needs.

Candidates who require the Tankers section of ADR are required to attend a 1 ½ day course. This Course normally runs directly after the conclusion of the Initial ADR course exams.

If a Candidate already has the ADR qualification but now requires the Tanks aspect the candidate only needs to attend the tanks module. For example Monday – Thursday ADR initial Course, Thursday – Friday Tanks Module Our training courses are approved to have 20 candidates on and the ADR training courses we offer are approved by the JAUPT:

  • You will be able to receive 21 Drivers CPC Periodic Training Hours for an Initial ADR Course
  • You will be able to receive 7 Drivers CPC Periodic Training Hours for the Tanks Module.

Training is delivered from our ADR Training centre located in Middlesbrough, but we can also come direct to you if the venue meets specific requirements. Our Training venue is easy accessible by road, train and all forms of public transport. There is a train station located a short walk from the venue. The training centre has free parking and the centre has full CCTV in operation. Also, there is a bistro on site so you will be able to purchase a meal on lunch breaks.

Teesside LGV Training will supply teas and coffees throughout the duration of the course. We also offer specialist ADR awareness courses specific for people who may not drive but be involved in ADR transportation or handling and storage, this course can be specifically designed around the areas you require in accordance with ADR 2015 VOL ll 8.3.2

DGSA Consultancy & Training courses

Teesside LGV Training Ltd has offered its services as an HGV/LGV/PCV/CPC trainer and as a consultant in a number of areas of the transport industry for a number of years, assisting a number of small and large businesses throughout the UK to stay legal and comply with regulations.

If your business or organisation requires a DGSA, Teesside LGV Training Ltd is able to help and assist as we offer a number of Consultancy service packages. We can be your appointed DGSA. As part of an EU directive it requires companies involved in the transport, distribution and loading of dangerous goods consigned by road, to appoint a Dangerous Goods Safety Adviser (DGSA).

These courses are specialist courses and exams are organised by the Scottish Qualifications Authority (SQA) four times in a year, These exams are usually held in March, June, September and December. There are exam venues throughout the country. To obtain the DGSA qualification a candidate needs to pass three examination papers.
